Hannah Rutherford, a sophomore at Mountain View High in California, placed second in the top section of the girls 400 meters by a 55.60 to 55.65 margin against Cate Peters of Monte Vista High in California at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif.
